Sometimes I fail to get the logic behind our existence....but days like today make you feel rejuvenated that you were born in this era.....the era of SACHIN RAMESH TENDULKAR......The pride that i felt in writing that name is way beyond explanation ..Yes he is god ....and he has proven it yet again..... 24th February 2010...will be carved in the hearts of every cricket fan as the day when the little champion took a giant leap towards invincibility.......no one of the likes of Ponting's ,Sehwag's , Yousuf's can even come closer to the discipline and devotion this man has for the game..Today he not only scored a double century in an ODI.....he did it with style and grace.....and i am sure all the expert critics who thought he is over must be thinking of an alternate career cos this man proved them wrong and how?
A double century against one of the most formidable attacks in ODI's...that too flawless without any life's or luck's.....done as elegantly as possible.To watch him bat today was just out of this world and I could feel the divine connection sitting in my living room, something i never ever felt before.I feel blessed ,blessed to be on vacation and watch the entire inning first hand, blessed that i saw all his great knocks live,blessed to have born in the same city as him,blessed to share the last three letters of my surname with him.Gwalior will no longer be remembered only for its forts but also because GOD showed up today at the 'Captain Roop Singh Stadium'.And he did what he is meant to do,spread a smile across millions of Indian faces and cricket fans across the world.Take a bow Mr Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar......And thank you for all the entertainment.
